Through our independent press, Del Vaz Projects designs and publishes art books that constellate around the non-profit’s expansive exhibitions and public programs—infusing academic rigor with creative authorship, archival discovery, and visual practice. Each publication is the result of a collaboration between artists, scholars, innovators, estates, galleries, and museums whose unique, contemporary criticism offers expanded perspectives and meaningful dialogues for both our Los Angeles community and an international audience. Our recent publications include Nonmemory (2024), Nightmare Bathroom (2023), Shell (2022), Technologies of the Self (2021), and forthcoming in 2025: Earthshaker, a book creating a dialogue between the artists Ana Mendieta, Derek Jarman, and P. Staff with commissioned essays by Eva Hayward, Maxi Wallenhorst, and McKenzie Wark.
