Established in 2021, and in homage to the traditional Persian Attari (عطاری) where spices, perfumes, and herbal medications are sold, Del Vaz Projects’ Apothecary is located in the heart of our space in Santa Monica, California. From this collective storefront, we invite our team, community, and collaborating artists to draw inspiration from our on-site garden and make unique, hand-crafted products. Adapted every year and tailored to each season, our space is home to beehives, chicken coops, and a 2000-square-foot garden where we cultivate plants from the ornamental to the edible and healing. Alongside books from our independent press, we sell eggs, spice mixes, and tea blends from the season’s harvest, in addition to artist wares made within and beyond Del Vaz Projects’ walls—a curated, rotating selection of candles, soaps, essential oils, vinegars, pickles, fruit jams, jewelry, and ceramics. All profits from Apothecary sales go towards supporting our non-profit programming.
